The SIG P210 Carry is a fascinating gun. The moment SIG SAUER first announced it I wondered what’s the deal. It was a great idea. SIG P210s were quite sweet, well-made as well as accurate, and amazing to shoot. What’s the point of carrying models?
Particularly when you look at the dimensions, capacity, and price for the P210 Carry (about $1400) against SIG’s uber-popular P365 pistol. But after firing one for a few seconds during the PSA Gathering event in January I wanted to know more about it, which is why I called and SIG provided me with a loaner to test.
Breaking Down the P210 Carry
The original P210 was created in 1949. The P210 Carry continues to show that it’s an item from the design of 1949. It’s a single-action and firing hammer. This is a single stack that can hold just 8 rounds (9mm) of custom leather holsters into a gun that is roughly similar to the GLOCK 19. SIG utilized a saw on the barrel and cut its length to 4.1 inches instead of the original’s 4.7 inches.
Now We Know Why
Alongside the shorter barrel, SIG went with an alloy frame that reduces the weight to 29 grams. However, it is an extremely heavy gun made of all metal.
The size of the gun is a matter of opinion to the P210 Carry isn’t the smallest gun.
The gorgeous wooden grips are gone, replaced with sleek and practical Hogue scales. SIG has also added a set of SIGLITE night sights to top the look and modernize it.
The SIGLITE night sights are bright and bright. (Travis Pike for TTAG)
SIG’s new boxes in gray are ideal for small guns however they’re a bit annoying here since there’s not much space for Custom shoulder holsters to accommodate the gun as well as its additional magazines. Inside you’ll find usual manuals, gun locks, and other items. It’s not too outrageous in any way. The magazines are exactly the same as the latest Generation of P210 Classic pistols.
Ergonomics
There’s some merit about single-stack magazines. The overall size that SIG P210 Carry is similar to that of a GLOCK 19. SIG P210 is comparable to the size of the GLOCK 19 but the grip is slimmer and is designed to accommodate the hand better. It’s not a great grip as such however it’s extremely comfortable.
