You can access the bar via a meat locker. This gives you an idea of what is to come. You’ll be immersed in the Bunga Bunga world from here! It’s like entering a completely different world. We couldn’t believe the space’s size and the amount of effort that went into staging it.
For only PS38, you can get an Italian sharing meal. This includes a six-course meal and a drink along with variety entertainment. We saw a singer, a hula-hoop performer and a juggler. The Bunga Boys were also there, with a funny host keeping it all together. There is entertainment all evening. You will be entertained at any moment.
We now move onto the food. Focaccia and olives sparked our appetites before we were served the first course, which consisted of a variety of Italian cured meats, cheeses, San Marzano tomato, mixed leaf salad, burrata, pappa al pomodo and friggitelli peppers. Burrata is the first course. We can’t resist having another bite of the soft and creamy burrata. The fresh, light salad was a great complement to the meats and cheeses. The frigitelli peppers (similar in taste to Spanish padron peppers), were well-cooked and salty.
We were then given a mini tiramisu to finish the meal. An Illy caffe-liqueur was also served.
This bar has a great cocktail menu and a good wine list. Although the set menu costs PS38 per person, it is well worth the cost. You get lots of food and entertainment (which is what makes this event so special).
Next was a mushroom-tuberce risotto. The truffle was balanced and not too strong, which is something very easy to do wrong. The mushrooms were delicious with a nice, earthy flavor. To prepare for the next course, pizza, a limoncellogranita cleansed our palates.
Three toppings, three long rectangular pizzas, are brought to the table. There is a choice between vesuvio, salumi and quattro formggi. The base was crispy and thin, just as we like it. The prosciutto-cotto on the salumi was melty and the vesuvio had an excellent spicy kick. The quattro Formaggio was the best cheese on toast that we have ever tried!
