Nick Wright was satisfied with the 2022 NBA Finals. He believes that the Boston Celtics will beat the Golden State Warriors.
Wright had predicted that the Warriors would win best-of-7 series. However, the official pick of the FS1 pundit flipped his pick Tuesday after teased such a change.
Wright stated that “I am not one who changes picks.” This was on FS1’s “First Things First.”
“Celtics are a better team. The Celtics are more impressive. Celtics are poised to win Game 3 at Home and Game 4 at Home.”
The Warriors and the Celtics split the first two games at Chase Center. In Game 1, Boston pulled off an unlikely comeback and Golden State won blowout fashion. For Games 3 and 4, the series will shift to TD Garden on Wednesday and Friday.
Although the C’s have performed better on the road in this postseason, one could argue that home-court advantage doesn’t make Boston’s return to its barn more significant. They’ve handled adversity well throughout the playoffs and were rewarded with another taste Sunday night as Golden State rode in a third quarter surge to a victory of 107-88.
Wright stated, “Here’s what the truth is: I realized that I had made a grave error when this series began.” “I had done something Chris Broussard accuses of me: I had put my heart before my head. When this series started, I was confused.
“All of my concerns about them in the Mavericks series will be applied to a better-rounded and more defensive team against the Celtics. However, I chose the Warriors out of a personal vendetta against Kevin Wildes as well as Celtics fans in general. They are so annoying and obnoxious that I don’t want to see them have joy or happiness.
The fourth quarter of Game 1 was a flawless performance by the Celtics , a remarkable turnaround after their poor start to that contest. The momentum was lost in Game 2, when turnovers proved fatal. Wright is more concerned about the sustainability of Golden State than Boston’s ability to win its 18th championship.
“The Warriors only have one way to win the series: Steph Curry must be absolutely transcendent for three more. Wright stated that he doesn’t believe he will be. “I believe the Celtics are stronger, I think that they’ve proven they’re better. I think they have dominated this series except for third quarters and I don’t think the Warriors will get that energy boost once they’re in Boston. I have the Celtics in six.”
Wright was recently on Jayson T.’s “superstar” status, and now he’s choosing the Celtics to lift the Larry O’Brien Trophy? This season, Boston is really ignoring its doubters.
